However unless you re involved in the horsey world, you might not realise just how many facilities and activities are on our doorstep.
From pony clubs to trail rides, dressage to polocrosse, the Peninsula provides the perfect climate and backdrop for both leisure riders and those seeking more professional pursuits.
Trail rides One of the most popular day tripping activitiesfor visitors to the Peninsula is a trail ride.
With a number of locations to choose from, there areunique experiences from beach rides to bushlandrides for everyone to enjoy.

There are three main disciplines at Olympic level dressage, showjumping and eventing.

showjumping involves riding over a course of fences in a sequential order in an arena withpoints deducted for errors whereas the disciplineof eventing involves both of these elements combined with an additional challenge of across country ride course.
amanda ross is one of our top level eventing riders and lives in Boneo.
she has been twice reserve for the World equestrian Games in 1998 and 2010 as well as representing australia in the individual Three day event at the sydney Olympics in 2000.
